According to an article written by Zerbo et al and published in JAMA Pediatrics, there is a “statistically significant association between the administration of the maternal influenza vaccine in the first trimester of pregnancy and the incidence of autism spectrum disorder. The authors stated that the analysis adjusted for covariates yielded a P value of .01 when applying a Cox proportional hazards regression model to the data.
