I noticed the report on this Well Water showed it has Fluoride in it !!!!!! :(

Greene County Rural Water District Under Boil Order by WLDS Radio / WICS News Team Wednesday, February 1st 2017

WHITE HALL, Ill. (WLDS)

— The Greene County Rural Water District has issued a boil order until at least Thursday.

The Water District decided to place the order after one of their hydrants was tapped yesterday battling the White Hall Fire.

Heather Stone, the Office Supervisor for the Greene County Rural Water District explains that the order was placed as a precaution.

“White Hall and all the rest of the fire stations that came down, pulled off one of our fire hydrants, which caused a loss of pressure in our system.

So to be on the safe side we went ahead and put the whole system on boil order.” Stone explains that there wasn’t any damage or contamination of the water system

“We do recommend that if you are wanting to drink the water that you boil it for 5 to 7 minutes, it’s safe to shower in.

This is not due to a break or dirt or anything in the line, it’s just the significant loss of pressure due to helping out the situation that happened in White Hall.”

Stone explained that the boil order should be lifted tomorrow, pending results from testing done by the District’s water operator, Charlie Rives. “

Normally it takes close to a day, by the time Charlie takes samples. He has to go out into our system and take a certain amount of samples. Then he will take them to St. Louis for testing and it usually takes about a day, by the time they test them and we get them back.

Conditions have been found at the water systems listed that could pose an immediate threat to the public health. Affected consumers can remedy the problem by boiling their drinking water for three to five minutes, which should kill any microbes present.

A list of all acute MCL violations for a given year can be found in the Water Protection Program, Public Drinking Water Branch Annual Compliance Report.

This list does not include precautionary boil water advisories.

Boil water advisories are issued by the local water supply as a precautionary measure.

If you hear of a boil water order or advisory that affects you, but is not on this list, the department urges you to take all precautions as instructed by your public water system.

The Report of Current Boil Water Orders in Missouri lists current boil water orders issued by the department according to the report issue date.

A Map of Current Boil Water Orders in Missouri has also been provided to show the approximate location of the listed boil water orders.

One artist's quest to capture her travels led to these stunning portraits of wild women.

Amanda Sandlin is only 27, but she's lived in a van, on a ship, and on both ends of the world. And not in a clichéd, "quit your job and pursue your dreams" sort of way. In fact, through hard work and determination, she's found a way to make adventuring her job. You could almost call adventuring her family's business.

“I grew up on cruise ships,” she explains, where her mom taught arts and crafts and ballroom dancing. Beginning after first grade, she was homeschooled — or, rather, “shipschooled” half the year, and homeschooled on a farm in Pennsylvania for the remaining time. “It’s pretty bizarre,” she laughs, looking back on how unusual her upbringing was. Amanda's unconventional start in life led her to develop a courageous spirit — one that would take her to places that most only dream of. "It’s so easy for me to be moving," she says. Though she returned to the mainland for high school and college, it took only a few months in the traditional work world for Amanda to realize that she belonged back out on an adventure. This time, she turned to the outdoors, reading about and watching people who went climbing, biking, surfing. “I grew up traveling but I never really did much outdoors stuff,” she says. "I started thinking, 'I would love that kind of life.’”

Finally, she decided to stop longing for it and start living it. "I packed up my car and my cat, and I drove to San Francisco." Throwing caution to the wind, Amanda chased her desires wherever they led her — all the way around the world. But not before getting a writing job at a company whose employees worked remotely, allowing her to travel and climb wherever she chose. When she tired of weekends in Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, she took off for New Zealand. After a year, she returned to the States, but her adventures were far from over. “That’s when I was like, you know, I’m single, I don’t feel like anywhere is home to me, so why don’t I just build out a van and travel until I find the place that feels good?”

In her van, affectionately named Penny, Amanda looped her way all over North America. "I started in Florida and went up the east coast to Maine. Then I drove out to Colorado, up through Oregon and Washington to British Columbia, and I stayed there for a while," she remembers. "I drove down to southern California, up through New Mexico, and then made a loop back to Colorado." She decided to settle in Denver, where she lives now with her rescue dog, Dewey. Though she's no longer traveling full-time, Amanda is by no means back on the beaten path. While out on the road, her work shifted gradually from writing into design and now, she's a full-time freelance artist.

"It happened pretty naturally," she says. As her work assignments became more and more visual, she started teaching herself graphic design and creating projects of her own on the side.

She began posting her projects online, and people started seeking her out for commissioned work. "That's how I got my freelance clients," she says. "They came to me." Soon after, she left her remote job to live off her art alone. In her art, Amanda strives to capture the spirit of adventurousness — her own, and that of women like her.

“I’m really inspired by the women who are willing to venture into the wilderness, whether that’s mountains and forests or weeding through the difficult stuff you’re doing on the inside,” she says. That exploration inspires the portraits she draws of wild women.

“I draw a lot of women with their hair blowing in the wind. I think I like that motion of the hair,” she says. “You know when you’re walking outside, on a ferry or something, and your hair keeps blowing and you keep trying to put it back, bobby pin it, put it in a ponytail, but it keeps blowing in your face, and finally there’s that moment where you just let it go?" she asks. "It’s like a complete release, and that, to me, is the type of feeling that I aim to capture in my artwork.”

Perhaps most interesting about Amanda is the fact that she doesn't think of herself as brave. In fact, she thinks that anyone, really, could do what she does. Adventuring, she says, is not necessarily packing up a van named Penny and heading out on the road. "The wilderness is the internal and the external and being OK with not being OK." The satisfaction that she has gotten from being free to be outdoors, on adventures, to climb across the country and capturing art in nature, is well worth the struggle required to make her lifestyle work. And, she says, she hopes that others are inspired to find ways to pursue their own adventures, too. "It's scary to make a change, or to chase after what you want," she says. "But it's never, it's rarely easy. It's never going to feel only good. But it's a challenge, and that's what makes you grow."

New Ownership at Park!

Raise in monthly lot rentals but now without water or sewer in fixed price:( A New Utility Company has been started just for the Park? There are no meters.
So a set price will be charged each month extra?
Per-person!!!!!! $20.23 !

The bigger households ? Wow!

One person with out a working washing machine or a working dish washer. A broker hot water tank with no hot water for baths tub baths or showers! Only the old fashion sponge baths, does not get the full advantage of living alone with all the extras:)

Never learned repair work! Why not? Afraid the only willing teachers were not too great? lol .... I might fix it worse then leaving it a minor repair, for someone else, .......when I get the extra money some day for repairs?

Alcida Ware its HORRIBLE water!!! and WAY TOO expensive!!! Dont move here!! its been advised by our vet, NOT TO give small children nor pets water right out of the faucet. it causes blockage in felines. and who knows what in humans. AND THEY CHARGE 4 TIMES THE AMOUNT THAN YOU ACTUALLY USE!! ive asked why, and got some answers that would blow you all away!! one was, " well, there isnt a way to meter the water that ends up on the ground in the summer from washing your cars, or pools, or what have you, so we estimate usage to be 4 times the incoming water." and to this I replied, " really?" , " because YES you can meter it, YOU ARE METERING IT PER GALLON AS IT GETS PUMPED INTO OUR HOME!!" HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. They even sent Mr. Brock in to talk to us, he didn't give a straight answer. Maybe someone else can get an answer. try, and post it. id like to know why and why they won't explain it. the director of finances (at that time) couldn't answer it either. and he gives the city officials the advice and expenditure reports, and reviews and such. hummm.......

April Sheets: My sewer bill is twice that of the water usage, I've never been billed 4 times the amount of the water bill. I believe it has something to do with the way in which it is pumped, how many pumps they have to maintain, elevation, etc.. I heard they tried to revamp the infrastructure several years ago and voters declined the tax increase for a more efficient system. Maybe someone else can elaborate further on this. They do know how much water is going through your meter, but there is no way to determine how much of that usage is going into the sewer system. If you fill a large pool for example, you can call and typically they will make an adjustment off the sewer portion of your bill. But, to clarify and/or validate, call city hall. I don't know how they arrived at billing double the water usage, unless they base it off the months they are averaging where people are not watering, filling pools and washing cars, etc..

Born on the North West Coast of the US.

I am use to Snow Capped Mountains, beautiful Forests, wild flowers on wild Rivers.

The once wild foods, berries of the area and the beloved Salmon.

I could look out across the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean.

I could look in land at the Snow Capped Mountains.

I watched the Hawks and Eagles soaring in the clean pure blue skies.

Enjoyed the thrill of the first crys of the Geese in Spring and Winter. As thousands of flocks in v formation made their dramatic way North or South each season.

Loving the show of the Northern Lights dancing across the skies.

Hearing the howl of the wolf packs. Hearing them pausing at the tent flap at night, as they listened in on you.

Finding you were being tracked by curious Mountain Lions in the snow when crossing back over the trails and seeing their foot prints behind yours.

Seeing huge bear tracks just filling in with water on the trail and the hair standing up on the back of your neck realizing he/she is right next to you in the brush.
