People who still fish and trap for a living maintain that, they aren't all used to being inside houses or vehicles all day, and unable to stand the cold. They probably had much more brown fat than we do today, and that fat is integral to maintaining high body temperature. All of these designs assume that our ancestors needed nearly as much heat as we do today, and that is an entirely wrong assumption. They would probably feel like they were suffocating if they had to spend time in the inside climate of most homes today.
